The National LGBT Bar Association (LGBT Bar) announced 2020’s Best LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40—and several Chicagoans have been included.

Among the Chicagoans recognized this year are:

—Kara Ingelhart, a staff attorney at Lambda Legal (and a former Windy City Times 30 Under 30 honoree);

—Bryce Cooper, a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP;

—E.K. McWilliams, an associate (Investigations, Compliance & Defense) at Jenner & Block LLP;

—Moses Suarez, a partner at SmithAmundsen;

—Malcolm “Skip” Harsch, the director of the Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity, and of the Commission on Hispanic Legal Rights and Responsibilities at the American Bar Association; and

—Elizabeth Ricks, the legal director and staff attorney of the TransLife Care Program at the Chicago House and Social Service Agency.

Awardees will be recognized during a special awards lunch at the 2020 Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair, which is slated to take place Aug. 12-14 in Washington, D.C.
