Cook County Commissioner Kevin B. Morrison and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle will host a live Pride virtual discussion on health equity on Wednesday, June 24, at 1 p.m.

They will be joined by community leaders to discuss systemic barriers that exist for LGBTQ+ people in healthcare and how COVID-19 has impacted the community. The group will also address specific challenges that exist for individuals that identify as transgender and non-binary and how those challenges are compounded for Black transgender people.

Morrison and Preckwinkle will be joined on the live discussion by Aisha Davis, of AIDS Foundation of Chicago; LaSaia Wade, of Brave Space Alliance; and David Munar, of Howard Brown Health.

The town hall will be livestreamed on Morrison’s Facebook page.
