Center on Halsted will host a virtual “Human First Un*Gala” on Thursday, May 6, 5-6 p.m.
Each year, Center on Halsted hosts its annual Human First Gala to recognize the contributions of individuals, businesses and other organizations to the LGBTQ community in Chicago. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the event was canceled last year.
This year’s event will recognize multidisciplinary artist Sam Kirk, artist/academic Theaster Gates and artist/writer/activist/educator Jane M. Saks.
