The 2nd annual Uptown Art Week, hosted by Uptown United and the Uptown Chamber of Commerce, will feature more than 150 pieces of public art including more than 40 new works going up on walls around the neighborhood, art exhibits hosted by local businesses, live paintings, and interactive art activities for all ages.
Uptown Art Week will take place Aug. 6-15.
Just a few of the events (taking place on different days) include activities at Graceland Cemetery and Arboretum; an open house of the 4600 block of Wilson Avenue; a viewing of Hiroshi Ariyama’s artwork at the Japanese American Service Committee; and live music along the Clifton Avenue Street Art Gallery. People can also go on self-guided tours of the public art using the Uptown Public Art Map.
