Still Rising—for LGBTQ women DJs, producers, promoters and their allies—will take place Saturday, Aug. 21, at Epiphany Center for the Arts, 201 S. Ashland Ave.

There will be a mixer, workshops and, of course, music at the event that Lori Branch and Hannah Kate are organizing.

Doors open at 4 p.m., with workshops commencing at 5 p.m. The workshops include “Mastering the Mixer,” with Ariel Retina and Lady D; “Queer Parenting,” with Simone Koehlinger, PsyD; and “Crafting Your Identity and Brand,” with DJ Tess and All The Way Kay. There will also be a “Behind the Booth: Speakers Series” with DJ Psycho-B and Teri Bristol, Ariel Zetina and Pat McCombs. The event will then conclude with DJ sets from All the Way Kay, DJ Dreea, DJ Melody, DJ Psycho-B, Lady D and VITIGRRL.
