The Candyman “Say it. I Dare You!” challenge—an interactive pop-up experience—will take place Aug. 21-22, 12-8 p.m., at Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave.

Guests are invited to enter a dark room where they are challenged to stand in front of a mirror to repeat the name “Candyman” five times.

In Candyman—the new Universal Pictures and Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures film from Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions (in theaters Aug. 27)—Candyman is a Chicago urban legend and a supernatural killer with a hook for a hand summoned by anyone daring to say his name into a mirror five times.

The movie stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Trial of the Chicago 7; Us), Teyonah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk; Charm City Kings) and out actor Colman Domingo (If Beale Street Could Talk; Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom).
