Gail H. Morse, a tax partner in the Chicago office of the global law firm Jenner & Block, was appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to its Committee on Professional Responsibility and reappointed to its Committee on Equality.
Morse is a well-known LGBTQ advocate in Chicago through her civic and political leadership. She has provided legal representation for many LGBTQ organizations, including the National Lambda Legal board, having served as its board chair for three years.
She is the longtime co-chair of Jenner & Block’s LGBT Forum, and has worked through the firm to advance LGBTQ rights both within the legal profession and the community.
In addition, Morse was inducted into the Chicago LGBT Hall of Fame in 2015, along with her wife, Lauren Verdich. Jenner & Block was inducted as a friend of the community in 2011.
