The 17th Annual Chicago Travel & Adventure Show took place Feb. 19-20 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention & Conference Center in Rosemont—and the event was truly a global affair. (The Chicago RV Show was in the opposite hall.)

The event provided visitors with the opportunity to meet and learn from top experts from around the globe, with thousands of destinations represented for guests to explore and a variety of free onsite activities. Hundreds of representatives appeared for spots ranging from Miami Beach to Indonesia to Poland to the Dolly Parton-owned attraction Dollywood to Aruba to Red Wing, Minnesota.

In addition, there were keynote presentations from top travel experts such as actor Andrew McCarthy (Pretty in Pink; Less Than Zero; TV’s Good Girls), Pauline Frommer and Peter Greenberg.

There were also travel-related booths that had writers (such as Theresa Carter Goodrich/The Local Tourist, with her book Living Landmarks of Chicago) and even insurance companies.
