Affinity Community Services will hold a “Family Reunion BBQ Picnic” on Saturday, June 18, 1-4 p.m., at the Dan Ryan Woods at 83rd Street and Western Avenue.

Hosted by Trina TruLuv, this event (with all Black LGBTQ+ artists and vendors) will feature BBQ by Lexington Betty’s Smokehouse, sounds courtesy of DJ Sheron, poetry by e.nina jay, and live performances by Denara Auriel and Vee Armstrong.

Affinity Community Services is a Black- and queer-led organization on Chicago’s South Side dedicated to social justice in Black LGBTQ+ communities. For 25 years, the organization has centered Black queer women through community organizing, intergenerational programming, education and healing justice.
