Chicago Urban Pride will hold its Pride Picnic on Sunday, June 26, at Jackson Park, 6300 E. Hayes Dr., noon-8 p.m.
The event is free and family-friendly. There will be DJs (playing house, hip-hop, R&B and more), entertainment, giveaways and, of course, food.
In addition, there will be an after-party at The Promontory, 5311 S. Lake Park, 10 p.m.-2 a.m. Attendees must be at least 21 years old.
These events are just part of a slate of events Chicago Urban Pride has planned for the weekend. A couple of other events include the “Cream & Honey Affair” on Friday, June 24, 8 p.m.-2 a.m., at The Lodge, 5108 S. Prairie Ave.; “FreeYoMind Fridays” at Jeffery Pub, 7041 S. Jeffery Ave., 9 p.m.-4 a.m.
