Chicago’s Pride Parade, Lorde, Rustin & Bates’ Board of Directors announced that the 8th Fahrenheit Chicago LGBTQ/SGL Humanities Festival will take place on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Promontory, 5311 S. Lake Park Dr.; and on Sunday, Aug. 28, at The DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center, 740 E. 56th Pl.

Fahrenheit Chicago will feature curated experiences from artists, activists, advocates, civic and other movement leaders involved in the Black and Brown queer and trans liberation movements. The official lineup of artists and thought leaders will be announced in the middle of July.

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the Field Foundation, the Chicago Department of Public Health, the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and the Chicago Racial Justice Pooled Fund will be event presenters. ViiV Healthcare is the platinum sponsor, while The Chicago Community Trust, Howard Brown Health, Center on Halsted and Alliance Care 360 are additional sponsors.
