Kick off LGBTQ+ Pride Month with Artemis Singers’ next concert, Better Times Will Come, a celebration of hopefulness after this long global slog of fear and separation. Enjoy an uplifting experience highlighting opportunities to create a better world and our better selves in it and a dance afterward.

The performance will feature the world premieres of a newly commissioned “Sistas Switching” by Regina Harris Baiocchi, a Black woman composer, author, and educator from Chicago, and of “The Weaving” by Artemis Singers’ own Laurie Lee Moses, commissioned for our 40th anniversary season.

Also premiering will be two new choral arrangements by Artemis members: “I Wish You Enough” by Chicago composer Pat Tyson, arranged by Allison Downing and “Better Times Will Come” by Janis Ian, arranged by Karen Mooney.

The event will be Saturday, June 10 at 7:00 at the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago.
