Miss Major, a Black transgender activist who has fought for more than 50 years for her trans/gender nonconforming community, is on tour to call attention to anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ+ laws across the country. Traveling with her is Arkansas attorney B.W.
Major and B.W. visited Chicago’s Brave Space Alliance Aug. 8. BSA is Chicago’s South Side-based, Black trans-led organization.
Major, according to her website, is a veteran of the Stonewall Riots, a former sex worker, and a survivor of Dannemora Prison and Bellevue Hospital’s “queen tank.”
