On April 27, Center on Halsted presented an art fair for members of its youth services at Muchin College Prep, 1 N. State St. The event featured works in several media, among them painting, crochet, drawing and sewing.
The Center partnered with Muchin College Prep Pride Group to put on the fair. Muchin College Prep is a public four-year high school in Chicago and is part of the Noble Network of Charter Schools.
Center on Halsted's youth mentoring programs strives for building caring relationships between LGBTQIA+ youth aged 12-24 and adults. That in turn helps them grow in their queer and trans identities, make progress in their personal goals and become contributors to the larger community.
