On May 25, both the Chicago Red Stars and Chicago Sky lost their contests.
The Red Stars, playing back home at SeatGeek Stadium, dropped their second-straight match in as many weeks against Racing Louisville FC, 1-0.
Chicago has failed to score a first-half goal in seven of the team’s 11 games. Only the Utah Royals (eight) and Houston Dash (nine) have failed to score more often, a press release noted.
Rookie Hannah Anderson made her professional debut for the club after subbing into the match in the 81st minute.
The Red Stars will next face Bay FC on June 8 at 6:30 p.m. CT at Wrigley Field.
As for the Sky (2-2), the squad fell 86-82 in its home opener to the undefeated Connecticut Sun (5-0) at Wintrust Arena.
The Sky saw a number of season-high marks in tonight’s game, including a season-high eight three-pointers and 38 rebounds. Additionally, Marina Mabrey hit a season-high four three pointers en route to a season-high 23 points.
The Sky stay at Wintrust Arena for the second of three consecutive games at home, next taking on the Seattle Storm on Tuesday, May 28.
