
The Midwest Pet & Handler Contest returned to Chicago the weekend of Sept. 5-7, kicking off with a meet-and-greet at Jackhammer, 6406 N Clark Street, where the five contestants picked their numbers and answered various questions about what pet play means to them and the community as a whole.
The contest took place at the Leather Archives & Museum, 6418 N. Greenview Avenue the following evening and was emcee’d by Diamond Devereaux-Yaki. Last year’s winners, Pup Red and Daddy Brian, gave their step-down speeches and passed their titles and leather sashes down to this years winners; Puppycat Momo won Midwest Pet and Daddy Mase won Midwest Handler. A victory party followed the contest at Meeting House Tavern, 5025 N. Clark Street. The weekend closed out with a brunch at Leather 64Ten, 6410 N. Clark Street.
