The SET Collective’s (Styling, Entertainment, Talent) studio has been forced to move on Oct. 15 due to the building where they are currently located recently going into foreclosure. They have found a new location at Grand House 424. To support their move and marketing budget for the new location launch, The SET Collective has created a Kickstarter campaign to raise at least $10,000 by Oct. 11.

According to The SET Collective’s website, the studio “exists to empower Chicago’s creative community by providing a collaborative space where ideas thrive, connections flourish and innovation takes center stage … to inspire and support creatives in fashion, music, and beyond. We value inclusivity, creativity and connection, fostering an environment where talent is nurtured, opportunities are shared and the ‘rising tide lifts all ships’ mentality drives us forward.”
“I built The SET Collective to create the kind of space I always wished existed: one where artists can access professional tools, connect with community and take their creative work to the next level,” said The SET Collective Founder Cam Frank.

“Spaces like The SET need to exist because creativity deserves infrastructure. When artists are given access, support and the opportunity to build real careers, not just side hustles, it changes what’s possible for the entire creative ecosystem.”
Frank added, “This new space will be the launch of The SET Collective’s new endeavor, ‘The SET ExT: Experiment x Transcend’ which will encompass a multifunctional satellite space designed for experimentation, collaboration and artistic elevation. This is an extension of our original space—both physically and creatively. A place for bold moves, new formats, late-night ideas and breakthrough moments. At The SET ExT, we invite creatives to push past what they know. To experiment with process and to transcend expectation.”
“I first joined the SET collective to nurture my creative vision for Peach x Palace, a modern vintage boudoir magazine,” said The SET Collective member and collaborator and Peach x Palace Founder and Editor-in-Chief Madison Lane.

“Over time, collaborating with the team has shown me how vital it is for spaces like this to exist—places that empower artists to create, connect and bring their ideas to life. I started Peach x Palace because I needed to recreate what I wished existed—a space that felt both sacred and electric. Within that vision, I wanted to weave together education, community and sensual expression.
“Peach x Palace helps women and queer people tap into their sensuality, using journalistic-style photography as a form of empowerment—to reimagine and heal the relationship with the person in the mirror. This publication is inspired by the idea of bringing the Renaissance back to Chicago—celebrating everything that makes life delicious: art, music, poetry, and of course, love. Alongside my creative director, Abbey La Tour, we’ve created a series of immersive vintage pop-up sets across the city. With the support, mentorship and resources I found at The Set Collective, we were able to grow rapidly—and within just three months, we produced an all-day editorial photoshoot that provided ten artists with paid creative work. I would not have been able to create this project without the resources and mentorship provided by The SET Collective.”

On Saturday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m-11 p.m., the final day of the Kickstarter campaign, The uSET Collective will host UP NExT CHI: A Creative Fundraiser Finale at their soon-to-be vacated space, 215 W. Ohio St. in Chicago. This all-day event will feature vintage art, DJs, fashion and styling showcases, a vendor market, creative activations and opportunities for community connection.
There is a $25 suggested donation, though any dollar amount is welcome to attend and support The SET Collective’s move into their next creative home.
