On Dec. 22, Life is Work held its “Meals for Christmas” Community Celebration in partnership with Toys for Tots, Rush Affirm and Chicago’s Home of Chicken and Waffles.

From https://lifeiswork.org: Life Is Work is a trans-led organization that educates, empowers, and organizes TLGBQ+ people from diverse backgrounds to secure safety, wellness, and justice for all.

The event, which was held at 600 N. Cicero Ave., also featured a free lunch buffet and a toy and winter coat giveaway; Mpox, COVID-19 and flu vaccines were also provided by Rush University Medical Center, and Chicago Department of Public Health.
The celebration also commemorated Life is Work’s 9th Anniversary
