The LBTQ Giving Council of Chicago Foundation for Women’s annual International Women’s Day Dance raised more than $40,000 for granting programs in a dance-filled party at the Hairpin Arts Center March 7.
More than 200 women and allies joined together in an event that traces its roots back to dances from the 1980s. The LBTQ Giving Council re-booted the dance a few years ago, as a way to unite women across generations and raise funds for current nonprofits.
