The International Puppy & Trainer Contest (IPTC) took place April 2-5 at the Center On Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St. The event was again emceed by Pup Figaro. The IPTC Meet and Greet took place April 2 at Jackhammer, 6406 N. Clark St.
Last year’s winner of International Puppy, Pup Star Orion, gave their step-down speech and passed their sash on to Pup Oslo from Philadelphia, who became International Puppy 2026.
The title of International Trainer 2026 went to Shayn from Los Angeles, who is the first woman of color to win the title. The runner-up for International Puppy was awarded to Pup Copper while the runner-up for International Trainer was awarded to Dagger Deschiennes.
