What better way to experience the world of Lego but through the eyes of two youth, one age 13, the other 7? A friend and I took our sons to the LEGO KidsFest at McCormick Center Oct. 29-31, presented by LIFE Marketing & Events and LEGO Systems. Anthony, 13, and Tom, 7, were just thrilled to be at the event.

There were life-sized LEGO models of traditional kid-friendly characters such as SpongeBob and Batman, plus so many options to play with LEGO pieces.

There was a huge and amazing train built of LEGO, plus movie setups and a great city where you could add your own building. All of the workers were extremely nice and helpful, making this a fantastic family experience.

Our kids were fascinated for more than three hours of non-stop playing. Tom’s words as we walked in said it all: “Holy cow! Amazing! Awesome!”

See www.LEGOKidsFest.com for information on future events. My family certainly hopes it comes back to Chicago again soon.
