Joining the smoking cessation initiative of the national lesbian health organization known as the Mautner Project, The Lesbian Health Task Force and The Center for Excellence in Women’s Health hosted a ‘Delicious Lesbian Kisses’ New Year’s Eve celebration Dec. 31. The event was a part of the ‘Pink Party’ at the Inn on the Park in Madison, Wisc.
The collaboration was part of a nationwide awareness campaign aimed at lesbian smokers 40 and over. The ‘Delicious Lesbian Kisses’ campaign serves the Mautner Project’s mission of raising awareness about lesbian health issues and helping lesbians stop smoking.
The kick-off event took place at the Inn on the Park on the Capitol Square in downtown Madison. ‘Delicious Lesbian Kisses’ promoters actually encouraged smokers and non-smokers to attend. Attendees were treated to everything from smoking cessation tools to a kissing booth.
