Vital Bridges began kicking off its popular Chefs and the City event with a yummy brunch pre-party at Acre on Clark Street. A buffet, along with a sit down meal including a Bloody Mary bar hosted by Grey Goose, was a steal at only $30 a person June 4.

Starting in July the 22-year-old organization will merge with Heartland Health Outreach to offer more medical assistance to its clients. Vital Bridges has made people’s lives healthier during the HIV/AIDS crisis by providing food and medication as a support system.

Chefs and the City rises again Friday, July 15, at The Ritz-Carlton with fashion, fun and food.

Order your raffle tickets now. With only 400 tickets being sold, you could be a shoo-in for a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico, or a wine tasting in Aspen, Colo. For more information and tickets to the fundraiser check out www.vitalbridges.org. Photos and text by Jerry Nunn
