This holiday season, Sarah’s Inn is accepting toy donations to provide holiday gifts for children who are domestic violence survivors.
The domestic violence agency is accepting new and unwrapped donations of toys for children and teens. Gift cards from toy, music, book or clothing stores in reasonable amounts are also welcomed. Sarah’s Inn is asking that people do not donate toys of a violent nature or those that might portray a negative self-image to youth, such as toy guns, Barbies, GI Joes, Power Rangers, wrestling figures and Bratz dolls.
Donations will be accepted through Dec. 13 at various locations, including Barbara’s Bookstore (1100 Lake, Oak Park) and several suburban police departments. Call the office at 708-386-3305 or see www.sarahsinn.org.
