Chicago can show its pride for Logainne, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’s youngest contestant (and the head of her elementary school’s gay-straight alliance), Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre, on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 6:30 p.m. as the production presents a specially themed gay performance, ‘Gay Night at the Bee,’ for one night only.

In the musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six young people in the throes of puberty learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser.

Spellling Bee continues its open-ended engagement at Chicago’s Drury Lane Theatre, 175 E. Chestnut. Individual tickets are $25-$69.50 and are available at the Drury Lane box office as well as all Broadway In Chicago box offices (24 W. Randolph, 151 W. Randolph and 18 W. Monroe).
