On June 2, hundreds of people left their offices, loosened their ties, let down their hair and headed over to The Godfrey Hotel for the “Out of the Office” cocktail reception. DreamTown Realty and the Godfrey Hotel kicked off Pride month with the event, held at the hotel’s Urban Chicago Rooftop Lounge. Proceeds benefited the Chicago Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.

At the cocktail reception, guests networked and enjoyed the spring evening as they were treated to a selection of hors d’oeuvres and drinks as well as a view of the Chicago skyline.

Besides hosting community outreach events such as Out of the Office, Dream Town has an LGBT Client Services Division that offers a team of gay and lesbian real-estate professionals as well as online resources at www.dreamtown.com/gay-chicago-realtor/. The objective is to make the lives of potential LGBTQ homebuyers as simple as possible with answers and information links regarding topics ranging from property rights to credit- and tax-liability issues.

Andrew Hayes, SVP, Marketing Director of Fifth Third Bank, told Windy City Times, “It was incredible to see this annual event celebrate its 10 year anniversary this year.

“Employees from Fifth Third Bank, DreamTown Realty and The Godfrey IO partnered and hosted over 800 guests at the party. Over the years, this event has benefitted a number of non-profits. This year a suggested door donation was enjoyed by the Chicago Area Gay & Lesbian Chamber. The open air venue and sunshine made this party extra special! It was a great way to kick off Pride month in Chicago!”
