Kuhn was honored as the 2015 Lifetime Achievement awardee by the National Association of Social Workers Illinois (NASW IL) Chicago District. He has been involved in the field for more than 40 years.
Zacharias—who is clinical director of New Hope Recovery Center Chicago and who maintains a private practice—was honored as the 2015 NASW IL Chicago District Social Worker of the Year. His areas of interest include working within the LGBTQI community and all forms of addiction, among other things.
Chicago District Public Citizen of the Year Derrick Young was also honored. A member of the CBS Chicago morning news team, Young is also a motivational speaker and professional health coach.
