Pritzker.

At a Nov. 29 event at Boystown nightspot Sidetrack, Illinois Assistant Majority Leader Greg Harris is expected to announce his endorsement of JB Pritzker for governor at the LGBTQ event, according to a press release Windy City Times exclusively received.

The openly gay Harris has represented Illinois’ 13th House District since 2007, and has been a champion of LGBTQ rights during his time in office.

In a pre-event release, Harris said, in part, “His whole life, JB has stood up again and again for what’s right and fought for LGBTQ rights, women’s rights, civil rights, and immigrant and refugee rights. But JB also understands there is a lot more work to do.”

The endorsement comes as support for Pritzker continues to grow, with endorsements from Secretary of State Jesse White, Comptroller Susana Mendoza, the Illinois AFL-CIO and more than 20 individual unions.
