Chicago-Kent College of Law will mark Constitution Day with a panel discussion that will focus on issues related to same-sex marriages.

The panel discussion, “When Did It Become Unconstitutional for States to Ban Same-Sex Marriage?: Constitutional Interpretation in the 21st Century,” will be held Thursday, Oct. 10, 3:30-5 p.m., in the law school’s Governor Richard B. Ogilvie Auditorium, 565 W. Adams St.

IIT Chicago-Kent Professor Steven Heyman will moderate a discussion of Hollingsworth v. Perry, a challenge to California’s Proposition 8, and United States v. Windsor, a challenge to the federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA).
