At its 16th annual awards luncheon, The Chicago Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of The Chicago Bar Association, honored Chicago attorney Jill M. Metz with the Edward J. Lewis Pro Bono Award.
This award distinguishes attorneys displaying a deep commitment to equal justice through outstanding pro bono service.
Metz has devoted her 35-year law career to litigating, advocating and educating the public on LGBT legal issues. She was played a role in helping Illinois achieve marriage equality in her capacity as the ACLU of Illinois board president.
