Newleaf Natural Grocery, an independent retailer of organic and natural foods, is expanding its organic produce box program to include home deliveries. The delivery area includes Evanston and parts of Chicago.
‘We believe this is a way to bring what our in-store customers have been enjoying to a wider audience, and accommodate customers who have moved out of the area, but still want to keep up their box,’ said Steve Parkes, Newleaf’s co-owner.
According to Steve Parkes, ‘It has been demonstrated that organic produce has higher levels of vital nutrients in addition to being pesticide and herbicide free. We know people are interested in going organic, but wary of the price. With the box program, we’re able to buy organic produce in bulk, giving our customers a better deal than single item shopping would allow.’
