Illinois state Sen. Heather Steans (D-7th), chief Senate sponsor of legislation the General Assembly passed Nov. 5 to legalize same-sex marriage, and State Rep. Greg Harris (D-13th) delivered Senate Bill 10 to the governor’s Capitol office Nov. 6.

Quinn is expected to sign Senate Bill 10, which will allow same-sex couples to marry beginning on June 1, 2014, within the next two weeks.
