Imagine eating in a little Italian restaurant with

good food, good wine, good service, and such

huge portions that you will be eating your entrée

for two days. Stop thinking and take a date over

to Rose Angelis at 1314 W. Wrightwood Ave.

We walked in through the kitchen area to get to

the dining room. It’s a little dark and somewhat

kitschy at the same time. There are flower

arrangements painted on the walls in one area

and rich wood tones in the other dining room. I

wouldn’t want to eat right by the kitchen though,

especially on a date.

The prices are extremely reasonable so splurge

and get two entrees and an appetizer. You won’t

be sorry. And you will have a doggie bag. And

your dog will get nothing.

I had the Zuppa di Pesce, a rich seafood stew

that came in a little, or rather, a huge pot and

my date had duck-filled tortellini that was pure

ambrosia. The gigantic portions will ensure that

you will have leftovers that need to go in the

fridge.

What a wonderful way to get someone up to

your house or for you to get into their … house.
