Project VIDA will celebrate National Coming Out Day (Thursday, Oct. 11) with the event “Our Stories, Our Voices” at the Logan Theatre, 2646 N. Milwaukee Ave., 7-10 p.m.

The event’s emcee will be Karari Olvera Orozco, and there will be panelists to discuss various issues. Admission is free, and there will be refreshments.

Project VIDA is a culturally focused HIV/AIDS prevention and direct-services, community-based organization located on Chicago’s West Side, in Little Village neighborhood. A consortium of volunteers founded Project VIDA in 1992 to address the unique needs and concerns of Latino and African-American individuals at risk for or currently living with HIV/AIDS.
