The Chicago Red Stars fell to the North Carolina Courage 4-0 in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) championship game on Oct. 27.
Chicago finishes the season as the 2019 NWSL runner-up, and ended second in the NWSL standings with 44 points.
The team broke a franchise attendance record in July, hosting 17,388 fans at SeatGeek Stadium. The Red Stars advanced to the franchise’s first-ever championship game with a 1-0 defeat of Portland at SeatGeek Stadium.
