The Chicago Sky were officially eliminated from playoff contention after losing to the Connecticut Sun 87-54 at Wintrust Arena on Sept. 19.

Chicago faded down the stretch after losing star player Angel Reese for the season due to a wrist injury. With the Sky losing, Atlanta winning and Washington winning, Chicago finished 10th in the standings with a 13-27 record. The Sun finished 28-12.

Dana Evans led the Sky in scoring in the final game of the season with 14 points off the bench. Isabelle Harrison recorded a 13-point, 11-rebound double-double while Kaela Davis scored a season-high 12 points.

One bright spot for the Sky was the news that Reese was named a 2024 WNBA Peak Performer in rebounds this season after finishing the 2024 regular season with a league-best 13.1 rebounds per game. This will be the eighth time in franchise history a Sky player has won a Peak Performer Award and the only the second time in franchise history—after Sylvia Fowles in 2013—in which a Sky player has received the award for rebounds.
