On Sept. 21, Chicago Red Stars rookie Hannah Anderson and Brazilian International Ludmila connected to score the only goal of the match against the San Diego Wave FC, securing a 1-0 win for the Red Stars.

With the season sweep against San Diego secured, the Red Stars put some space between themselves and the playoff cutoff line as the team continues to push to make the National Women’s Soccer League playoffs.

During the match, Ludmila scored her first National Women’s Soccer League goal. All rookies drafted by the Red Stars this season have contributed to a goal this season.

The Red Stars will next take on the North Carolina Courage on Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. CT at SeatGeek Stadium.
