Queer Expression Film Fest will present the Chicago premiere of Aligned, a new queer feature film from Greece, on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. at Facets, 1517 W. Fullerton Ave.
Writer/director Apollo Bakopoulos is expected to attend.
The film tells the story of two men (Dimitris Fritzelas and Panos Malakos) from vastly different worlds—Athens and New York—who discover a connection that transcends cultural boundaries through their shared passion for dance. While they both share a Greek heritage, their journeys are shaped by distinct experiences. The film had its world premiere at the Brooklyn Film Festival in 2023.
Tickets are $12-$15 each; purchase them here. The trailer for Aligned is here.
Since its inception, Queer Expression Film Fest has premiered films like Eismayer, The Summer with Carmen, Horseplay, Sebastian and Sunflower.
