On Sept. 11, the Chicago Sky lost to the New York Liberty 91-86 inside Wintrust Arena.

The Sky finished the season 10-34, failing to make the playoffs.
After being down by as many as 23 points, Chicago—which only had seven available players, as Ariel Atkins and Angel Reese had injuries—came back against the Liberty to cut the final score to five behind rookie Maddy Westbeld’s career-high 25 points. She knocked down five of her six three-point attempts from beyond the arc, both of which are also career highs.
Kamilla Cardoso added 21 points, five rebounds and a season-high four blocks. In fact, five of the seven available Sky players scored in double figures.
