AIDS Ministry of Illinois, which has worked for 13 years to help people impacted by HIV/AIDS in Will, Grundy, Kankakee and southern Cook counties, is changing its name and expanding its mission.
The new name will be Agape Missions Inc. ‘Agape’ is the Greek word for unconditional love.
Expansion includes adding a bilingual counseling/coaching office in Joliet.
The agency’s 10th annual Gala and Silent Auction will celebrate the work of Sr. Rosalie Noder, OSF, considered a founder of the agency. She retired earlier this year. The benefit is Sat., Nov. 1, VFW Cantigny Post 367, 826 Horseshoe drive, Joliet, 6 p.m.
