If you can take on a drag (king or queen) persona, converse in character, carry a cocktail and not keep every false eyelash in place, the organizers of ‘Miss Looptopia’ want you.
Creative, talented drag performers are being sought to provide interactive, improv-based entertainment during the cocktail party which will culminate in the crowning of Miss Looptopia. Taking place on May 11, 6-8 p.m., at the Hard Rock Hotel, 230 N. Michigan, ‘Miss Looptopia’ will be one of several kick-off events for Looptopia, the all-night downtown party taking place May 11-12.
Interested contestants should send an e-mail entitled ‘Why I Should Be A Contestant For Miss Looptopia’ to kevin@thirdcoastmarketing.com. Include your experience as a comedy drag or improv performer as well as a photo (a headshot and/or shot of you in costume). This is not a paying gig but you will receive drinks, great visibility and a contestant sash (and tiara, should you win).
