Showtime’s dramatic series The L Word, which recently added Oscar-winning actress Marlee Matlin to its cast, welcomes Cybill Shepherd for its fourth season. Shepherd will portray a middle-aged married woman with two grown children who begins questioning her sexuality.
She will appear in 11 episodes, starring as an executive vice chancellor of a fictional California University and boss to Jennifer Beals’ character Bette Porter. The new season of The L Word will premiere in January.
