Have you seen the latest issue of The Advocate? It features a great little write-up by none other than Chicago’s very own saucy chanteuse Amy Armstrong. We love her here in Chi-town and now it looks like we’ll have to share her with the world. Oh, there’s enough to go around 😉 Amy even name drops one Ms. Teri Yaki, although their loyal stable of copy editors managed to misspell her name. Hmmm, I wonder if they’re hiring? Anyway, check me and Teri at Jackhammer in one of our, how do you say… drunken moments.
It was great to drive out to The Hideaway and see all the old crowd. I hadn’t really been out there since before I lost 40 lbs., which a certain regular seems to have found (his words, not mine). Anyway, shout out to Marty, Jason, Jeff, Joe, Ramon, Tommy, Ronny, and a certain bartender who’s no longer working at a certain other bar. Sure there’s a story there I’m not telling.
Pleasure is sitting in the back bar of Touché chatting with bartender Frank. Made all the better by the twirling naked lawyer. Yes. Surprised?
The hot thingy this week appears to be the annual celebrity auction for the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame at Sidetrack. Dig deep and purchase yourself some goodness, and be entertained by Windy City Gay Idols Luis Vega and Kristy Fairbairn.
Correction: Last week’s fab cover was shot by photographer Gerardo Perez. Nightspots apologizes for the omission.
