The 12th annual World Tour, “A Journey In Time,” to benefit Chicago House and Social Service Agency has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21 at The Four Seasons Hotel, 120 East Delaware Place, 7:30 p.m.

Each World Tour guest will receive their own personal passport that allows access to a fantasy of destination “hot spots.” Entertainers will guide the guests from West to East to experience a bountiful array of cuisine and culture. The destinations will be created in the hotel ballrooms beginning with California’s West Coast in Malibu, moving on to the trendy Latin Quarter of South Beach in Miami, then to London’s hottest night club, Heaven and, finally, a continental breakfast as guests disembark in Tokyo’s airport.

The highlight of the evening will be entertainment by RuPaul, making one of his rare appearances in Chicago. The DJ act will be by Ursula 1000, Alex Gimeno. The evening includes a silent auction, dinner, live music and fashion show.

This year’s World Tour 2000 will honor its awards recipients at a special V.I.P. reception at 6:30, immediately preceding the evening festivities. The Founder’s Award will be presented to Michael Cook, past president of the board of Chicago House; The Honorable Lisa Madigan and The Honorable Steve Rauschenberger will receive the Public Service Awards; the Partnership in Service Award will go to The Chicago Department of Public Health and the Foundation Award will be presented to The AIDS Foundation.

The reception begins at 6:30 and the World Tour from 7:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Tickets: $300. Phone: (773) 248-5200, ext. 307.
