World Tour 2006, Chicago House and Social Service Agency’s black-tie gala that will be held Sept. 30 at the Fairmont Hotel, 200 N. Columbus, promises to be the best ever with a star-studded list of auction and raffle items.

Among the trips that will be auctioned off is a live-auction vacation package valued at over $20,000 for up to nine guests at Cote d’Azur, in the South of France. Another luxurious auction item is ‘Fly Away in Style,’ a VIP trip on a private jet for eight guests to travel like A-list celebrities anywhere in the United States. Other items include a ‘Night in Pharaoh’s Tomb,’ a one-night complimentary stay at the Conrad Chicago Hotel, two tickets to the King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum, dinner for two in the Restaurant Conrad and two tickets to Conrad’s chocolate infatuation.

Gala co-chairs Mark Liberson, Brett Locascio, Meg Prendergast and Jim Prendergast will be joined by emcees Tamron Hall and David Viggiano of FOX News in the Morning. The 2006 honorees are Alderman Tom Tunney, who will receive the Public Service Award; Mary and Larry Boeder, who will get the Founders Award; Starbucks, which will receive the Partnership in Service Award; The Ravenswood Health Care Foundation, which will get the Foundation Award.
