The two men allegedly gay-bashed by bouncers at the Liar’s Club bar will have to wait yet another week for a verdict in their misdemeanor battery trial.

Chad Edwards and Kurt Schneider are accused of attacking the bouncers earlier this year in an incident they say they are the true victims of. Associate Judge Mark Ballard said Oct. 5 that he needs time to look over transcripts from the three-day trial before he issues a ruling Oct. 18.

Arguments in the trial began Sept. 21 and ended Thursday after a two-week break requested by prosecutors.

Edwards and Schneider have maintained since January that the bouncers beat them and called them anti-gay slurs after they asked for their money back shortly after entering the crowded bar at 1665 W. Fullerton in Lincoln Park.

The latest delay is one of several in the trial, with prosecutors receiving continuances through the summer
