It was all about renowned chef Art Smith Sept. 30, as Mayor Richard Daley proclaimed the date “Art Smith Day,” and as the Chicago Culinary Museum inducted Smith—who owns the restaurants Table 52 in Chicago and Art & Soul in Washington, D.C.—into the Chefs Hall of Fame. The latter event took place at the Mid-America Club. Among those attending the ceremony were Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White and Jesus Salgueiro, whom Smith recently married at Art & Soul.
