Elaine Stritch At Liberty blew quickly through town last week, and it was a must-see theatrical event. The Tony-winning effort by Stritch was similar to Bea Arthur’s tour a few years back, with memories of past productions, performers, loves and loves lost. Stritch displayed amazing energy in the two-act production, singing and moving about the stage in black tights and a white shirt, a simple staging with live orchestra and lively dialogue. Jam Theatricals produced the show, and it was a terrific treat, especially the back stories on so much entertainment history.
