Eric Nelson, who had been serving as the interim executive director for Better Existence with HIV (BEHIV) since Executive Director Brad McLaughlin’s departure, has been named the new leader of the organization, according to a news release.

Nelson has been with BEHIV since 2005, when he was appointed development director. According to him, the board of directors and McLaughlin made a ‘mutual decision’ for him to step down on May 1.

Another change in the organization’s hierarchy was also announced when Julie Supple, one of BEHIV’s mental health therapists, was named program director.
