Formerly known as Chicago 2006, CGI was the organizing force behind Chicago’s bid to host the Gay Games® in 2006. While that effort was ultimately not successful and the 2006 Gay Games were awarded to Montreal, the commitment to the vision of the Gay Games® movement continues to motivate people in the Chicago area and CGI, working alongside sports and cultural organizations locally, continues to work to support that vision.
